The Pupil Premium is additional funding received by schools to support disadvantaged pupils. This is defined as those children eligible for free school meals.

In the academic year 2014-15, Bournebrook school received £11,700 in Pupil Premium funding. This valuable funding was used as follows:
One to one maths tuition for ten weeks.
One to one English tuition for ten weeks.
Whole school training on communication using symbols.
Training for one TA on a specific approach to the teaching of reading, including resources.
Individual allocation of funds to support enrichment.
Purchase of reading books for specific interventions.
TA support within classroom.
Cost of EIS (Early Intervention Support) for the support of children.
Pupil Premium funding for the academic year 2015 -16 is £7920 and will be used in line with school policy.
Part of this funding has already been used as follows:
Use of EIS to train two teaching assistants.
The remainder of the valuable funding will be used as follows:
One to one catch-up sessions (number to be determined following pupil progress meetings).
TA support in classrooms.
Spelling resources.
